Throughout the evening, you'll learn four essential workflows that unlock the full potential of luminescent art. These proven techniques guide you from blank canvas to glowing masterpiece, teaching you how to layer, contrast, and enhance your work for maximum visual impact. Whether you follow them step-by-step or use them as inspiration for your own approach, these workflows give you the foundation to create art that transforms in the darkness. Each technique builds on the last, but feel free to experiment and make them your own.
Base Layer Foundation
Start with your base composition using glow-in-the-dark paint. Apply thick, even coats for maximum luminosity. This foundation determines how your piece glows when lights are off.
Fluorescent Accents
Layer fluorescent paints over your base to create stunning color effects under UV light. Learn color theory specific to UV-reactive materials for dramatic visual impact.

The venue
This event is held at the What Is Happening Here Gallery in Amsterdam. This 2226m2 gallery space is located in a historical monument building, that used to be the ABNAMRO bank on the flower market; a place where the former queen of Holland, had her own private vault.
The atmosphere is completely relaxed. There's no pressure to produce a masterpiece or get it "right." This is a playground for adults—a rare space where you can experiment, make mistakes, test wild ideas, and see what happens. Collapse an armature, reshape your clay five times, start over with fresh wax. The point is exploration, not perfection. Some of the best discoveries happen when you're just playing with form and seeing where your hands take you.
