The venue
This event is held at the What Is Happening Here Gallery in Amsterdam. This 2226m2 gallery space is located in a historical monument building, that used to be the ABNAMRO bank on the flower market; a place where the former queen of Holland, had her own private vault.
The atmosphere is completely relaxed. There's no pressure to produce a masterpiece or get it "right." This is a playground for adults—a rare space where you can play, make mistakes, test wild ideas, and see what happens. Spill paint, restart three times, abandon an approach halfway through. The point is exploration, not perfection. Some of the best discoveries happen when you're just messing around.
